Hotel Cuna del Ángel has 5 levels awarded as recognition by the Costa Rica Tourism Board through its program called CST (Certificate for Sustainable Tourism). This program guarantees good environmental, social and economical practices with procedures implemented and operated daily by the hotel staff. Besides Cuna del Angel is operated by a certificated police of zero carbon footprint. In Cuna del Angel, their Sustainability Committee works hard developing new projects to improve community and environmental conditions.

The 16 Angel Deluxe Rooms are richly decorated with Colonial and Asian details, all with jungle view from their terraces or balconies with modern commodities: A/C and two ceiling fans, Cable TV, WiFi access, Mini bar, safe, Coffee Maker, Private Bathroom with bathtub/shower and hairdryer, alarm clock, telephone. Deluxe Rooms have one queen size bed or two beds (queen + full size). These rooms are located in front of the infinity edge swimming pool.
The 9 Jungle rooms are made of wood decorated in a Vintage style with private balconies overlooking the tropical forest, an ideal spot for bird and wildlife watching. These rooms are equipped with A/C and ceiling fans, mini bar, a safe, cable Tv, coffee maker, private bathroom with a shower and telephone, one full size bed or two twin beds. The Jungle rooms do not have an ocean view.
This complex is far from all public areas, for this reason our jungle rooms are recommended for adventurous young people looking for affordable options. The entrance has stairs (approximately 40 steps) or a ramp, these rooms are directly located in the middle of the Rain Forest, away from the main building, giving them a sense of extreme privacy. All guests are welcome to use the hotel’s facilities for example the restaurant, spa, pool or jacuzzi.

The central building of this unique restaurant, was designed as an area of homage to local ancestors. Its architectural design was based on the “Boruca” traditional ceremonial dwelling, a symbolic expression of this Costa Rican indigenous culture. Its circular shape generates an idea of center projected energy towards the sky through the conic roof. The symbolic codes are mainly social and religious with universal elements, which mean that many ethnics around the world have similar concepts.
Its eight columns where placed reminding the original ritual of our native ancestors, who used the sunrise and sunset as points of reference. The center of the first level has a mosaic that represents the Cosmic Levels of the local cultures: Earth, Sky, Moon and Sun.
